For the opening of our film, we chose to have a voiceover whilst a montage of historical photos are shown. This will give an immediate understanding to the audience that this is based on Jack The Ripper historical reference.
As our trailer is in black and white, like our film will be, we had to edit the photos from the internet into black and white using the software iPhoto. We decided to increase the pace of the images towards the end of the 18 second montage to demonstrate the pace of the film and to generate the feeling of suspense to our audience.
We feel this montage is very important to our trailer as it informs the audience watching the trailer without giving to much of the narrative away, which is the aim of a teaser trailer.
